#21 Chip Tolentino

Last year's Putnam County champ is beginning to learn the ups and downs (and ups) of puberty.

Played by:

Sean Riley (Chip Tolentino) is very excited to join the cast of Spelling Bee! He has recently appeared in the role of Patrick Andrews in Broadway Palm’s production of The Andrew’s Brothers. Sean is originally from Manhattan, Kansas. He received his BFA in music theatre with a minor in dance in 2007. Sean also studies in improv at Upright Citizens Brigade in New York City. He would like to thank his family for their love and support.




# 1 Logainne Schwartzandgrubenierre

Half Jewish, biracial, with two gay dads, she gives new meaning to the term underdog.

Julie Keough (Logainne Schwartzandgrubenieere) is happy to swing by the Dutch Apple once again! She spent the Christmas season at American Music Theatre as a featured singer, and currently frequents Loxley’s in Lancaster and Maewyn’s in York with her solo acoustic act. # 17 Leaf Coneybear

He's not sure about making friends or making the grade, but making his own clothes is a snap.

Ryan Dean Albers (Leaf Coneybear) is thrilled to be joining the Prather company! Ryan recently completed his run Off-Broadway in Pinkalicious The Musical. Favorite regional credits include: The Secret Garden (Dickon), South Pacific (Professor), Altar Boyz (Abraham) and Godspell. #13 William Barfee

A finalist in last year's Bee, he was disqualified for a health-related incident.

#11 Olive Ostrovsky

Her parents are AWOL.  Her best friend is her dictionary.  And, if it would be ok with everyone else, she'd really kind of like to snag the big trophy.

Elizabeth McMonagle (Olive Ostrovsky) couldn’t be happier to join Dutch Apple’s “Spellers!” She recently made her regional debut as Lizzie Fields in Arizona Broadway Theatre’s Baby. A Green Bay native, she happy to spend time in Pennsylvania.





Rona Lisa Peretti

A longtime spelling bee hostess and local realtor who was the winner of the third annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

Annie Freres (Rona Lisa Peretti) is pleased as punch to be performing in this hilarious sand wonderful show for the best company in the country, Prather Entertainment Group. Other favorite roles include Aska in Once on This Island, Susan in Tick Tick BOOM!, Lucille in PARADE, Sarah Jane Moore in Assassins, Lucy in Sweeney Todd, Mrs. Mayor in Suessical the Musical and ensemble in Jerry Springer the Opera, Elegies: A Song Cycle and Songs For a New World. So much love to my supporting family and close friends and always to my wonderful Anna.




Mitch Mahoney

The bee’s comfort counselor because it’s part of his community service. He looks like a bouncer and offers hugs and juice boxes to each eliminated contestant.

Rendell DeBose (Mitch Mahoney) is excited to be back at the Dutch Apple where he appeared as Jim in Big River. He has recently appeared in The Civil War as Frederick Douglass and Andre in Ain’t Misbehavin’ at the Roxy Theatre. Rendell has also performed as C.C. White in Dreamgirls at Alhambra Dinner Theatre and Jim in Bubbling Brown Sugar.




Vice Principal Douglas Panch

Returning to “the bee” as a judge after a five year break is Vice Principal Douglas Panch. See his infatuation with Rona and many hilarious antics.

Galloway Stevens (Director/Vice Principal Douglas Panch) is so proud to have been the director of Spelling Bee. Other directorial credits include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Ain’t Misbehavin’ and Cats. He is also excited to return to one of his favorite roles VP Doug Panch. Other acting credits include Aldolpho in The Drowsy Chaperone, Ali Hakim in Oklahoma, and the King in The King and I. Much thanks to the Prather family, the talented cast and the hard work and great support of my true love, Kezz!
