What credit cards do you accept? We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
Can you hold reservations while I check with others to see if they want to join us? Seats can not be held without a reservation. We recommend that you make the reservation for the most people that may be in your party. You can always change the number two weeks prior to the performance date.
Can I pay by check for my reservations? You can pay by check as long as it is received two weeks prior to the performance date.
How do I get my tickets? After full payment has been made, tickets can be e-mailed, placed in the mail or be held in the office at no cost. If the reservation or payment is made one week prior to the performance the tickets will be held at the box office.
Do you have "Show Only" tickets? We have a limited number of twenty Show Only seats available. These are theatre-style seats.
What is your cancellation policy? Cancellations are accepted 48 hours in advance for a refund and by noon the day of the performance for a raincheck. There will be no refunds for cancellations after noon or at the box office the day of the performance. Cancellations must be made by 10 AM for matinee shows. We can not refund the fees for tickets purchased on the internet.
Where can I purchase a Gift Certificate? You can purchase a gift certificate in person, by phone or online in any dollar amount that you choose. There is no online service charge for Gift Certificate purchases.
How do I redeem a Gift Certificate? After you make your reservation and receive your order number, write it on the gift certificate and send it to the theatre at 510 Centerville Rd. Lancaster, PA 17601 with an additional balance that is due. Once the gift certificate/payment is received, your ticket will be sent to you. Gift Certificates can not be used as payment online at this time.
Are chidlren welcome? We suggest that children under the age of 3 not attend a performance. Children's Theatre productions are available for children of all ages throughout the year. High chairs are not available for infants, however a limited number of booster seats are available.
How do I figure out the gratuity? Many people feel that since the Dutch Apple is a buffet style meal, that a gratuity is not necessary. However, your server and busperson now serve a soup appetizer, continuously clear your tables, and serve coffee, tea, water and ice tea, which are all included with your meal. A $2.50 per person gratuity is suggested. A traditional 15% gratuity should be added for any specialty drink service that you purchased as well.
Are there meals with the Children's Theatre productions? A kid-style meal is planned for each children's theatre production which features everyone's favorites such as smiley fries, chicken nuggets, hamburgers, fun fish shapes, salads and desserts. The menu changes with each show. We do not offer a special children's meal for mainstage productions.
What if I have special dietary needs? Our buffet features Heart-Smart items that meet the American Heart Association criteria and an extensive salad bar is available. There is always a fish entrée on the buffet as well. For those with extreme dietary needs, you may contact the Executive Chef, Gary Fern, two weeks prior to the performance that you are attending to advise us of your needs. If it is within two weeks of the performance, we can not guarantee a special meal. These requests should be limited.
Do you have a dress code? We suggest long pants and a collared shirt for men. Jackets are not required. We ask that patrons refrain from wearing sweat wear or t-shirts.
Are you wheelchair and handicap accessible? There are no steps within the entire theatre. There are five levels to the theatre that are completely ramped for easy wheelchair access. We also have host staff available to assist with buffet needs. Please let the box office know your special requirements when ordering tickets.
What if I need hearing assistance? We have ten infrared hearing devices available at no charge through our box office. They are linked directly into our sound system and can be used with a hearing aid as well. A driver's license or another form of identity is exchanged for the device until returned. We suggest that you wait until you are completely finished with your meal to pick up the hearing devices.
Can I bring my own cake for a birthday or anniversary? Although we have an extensive dessert table, some people opt to bring a special cake for a celebrated milestone.
What if it snows? We have a very lenient snow policy, however generally shows are not cancelled due to weather. As long as there is an audience, the show will go on! If a show would be canceled, we would contact you. This is the reason that it is very important that we have your correct phone number when making your reservation. But don't panic when the weatherman calls for snow! We do not adhere to the regular cancellation policy during the winter months and even if you cancel the afternoon of the performance, you may still rebook without question. As much as we love our weathermen, sometimes they just aren't right and then you will miss the show for no reason!
Where are the performers from? The performers are selected from national auditions in New York City, Southeastern Theatre Conference, National Dinner Theatre Association, United Professional Theatre Association, Arizona and Florida.
Do you offer donations for fundraisers? Due to the demand for donations from our theatre, we offer a gift certificate to regional groups in the Lancaster, Harrisburg, York and Reading areas. So we can sponsor more fundraisers we will offer one dinner and show ticket per group. Donation requests must be made in writing at least one month prior to the event and on letterhead from the organization. It may be sent by mail or fax to 717-898-1546 to the attention of Myra Gromen, Box Office Manager.
