Student Performing Arts and Theatre Training Sessions; otherwise knows as S.P.A.T.T.S. is a summer workshop for students ages 8-18 promoting the fundamentals of Musical Theatre in a professional theatre environment which also builds confidence in young people.
Each workshop is $135.00 per student for the week and they receive instruction, a workbook to take home, a hot luncheon on Friday for the all-day workshop and costumes for the performance.
YOUTH WORKSHOP (ages 8-11):
This is an overview course for students who have never performed before OR who have had limited performance experience. Basic stage terms as well as general instruction in voice, dance, mime, movement and performance techniques will be learned. Based on previous experience listed on the registration form, the directors may qualify a student to participate in level 2 of this workshop. All students will have an opportunity to audition for the theatre and all must participate in the Saturday morning performance.

YOUNG ADULT WORKSHOP (ages 12 - 17):

INTERMEDIATE WORKSHOP (Ages 10 17)

Attendance in Youth or Young Adult workshops is required and/or performance experience in several high school, community or professional theatre productions. A resume must be provided with registration form. This course includes in-depth studies of voice, movement, dialects, character development, auditioning, stage makeup, basic stage combat and understanding of stage crafting. Based on experience, directors will continue to challenge, encourage and provide ample oportunities for each student to display their abilities and talents. All students will have an opportunity to audition for the theatre (and will be positively critiqued) and MUST participate in the Saturday morning performance.
