The Prather Family of Theatres
June 16- August 15, 2008

Many young people find themselves on stage through a school production or in a Christmas pageant at their church. This often results in getting "bit by the acting bug". Some kids are just natural born performers.

Student Performing Arts and Theatre Training Sessions; otherwise knows as S.P.A.T.T.S. is a summer workshop for students ages 8-18 promoting the fundamentals of Musical Theatre in a professional theatre environment which also builds confidence in young people.

Each workshop is $135.00 per student for the week and they receive instruction, a workbook to take home, a hot luncheon on Friday for the all-day workshop and costumes for the performance.

YOUTH WORKSHOP  (ages 8-11):

This is an overview course for students who have never performed before OR who have had limited performance experience.  Basic stage terms as well as general instruction in voice, dance, mime, movement and performance techniques will be learned.  Based on previous experience listed on the registration form, the directors may qualify a student to participate in “level 2” of this workshop. All students will have an opportunity to audition for the theatre and all must participate in the Saturday morning performance.
