Cassie Meck (Dorothy Gale) is thrilled to make her Dutch Apple debut! This show has a special place in her heart especially since Dorothy was her first ever lead role in sophomore year of high school! As a 2024 Sight & Sound Conservatory graduate, she has performed on the Fulton, American Music Theater, Servant Stage, and Sight & Sound stages. Ruthie Sangster
Ruthie Sangster (Glinda/Aunt Em) is tickled pink to return to the Dutch Apple stage after playing Mother in Ragtime last season! A NYC-based performer, she will always be a Kentucky girl at heart and is a proud graduate of the University of Kentucky - Vocal Performance (B.M.) and Arts Administration (B.A.) Other favorite credits include The Music Man (Marian Paroo), The Sound of Music (Maria Rainer), White Christmas (Betty Haynes), The Secret Garden (Martha Sowerby), and Mary Poppins (Winifred Banks). Thomas Smith
Thomas Smith (Uncle Henry/Emerald City Guard/Cowardly Lion US/Professor Marvel & Wizard of Oz US) is a South Jersey based Actor and Arts Administrator who is immensely grateful to be making his Dutch Apple debut with this classic story. Recent credits include Smudge in Forever Plaid, Brad in The Rocky Horror Show and Jim Hardy in Holiday Inn. Thomas is a proud Board Member of the Atlantic City Theatre Company. Victor Legarreta
Victor Legarreta (Zeke/Cowardly Lion) is no stranger to the Dutch Apple stage having starred in or directed dozens of shows here. He's directed over 150 productions professionally. He is also no stranger to The Wizard of Oz, this will be his 6th production, with over 400 performances: one as Scarecrow, one as the Tinman, and this will be his fourth time as the Cowardly Lion including the 2017-2018 national tour. Jacob Clanton
Jacob Clanton (Tinman/Hickory) is thrilled to be skipping down the yellow brick road with this wonderful cast! He was last seen on the Dutch Apple stage as Bob Wallace in White Christmas. Other credits include: The Fantasticks (Matt), Big River (Huck), Little Women (Laurie), The Drowsy Chaperone (George), and Grease (Teen Angel). Max Ashford (Hunk/Scarecrow) is thrilled to make his Dutch Apple debut! He is a rising senior at The Hartt School, pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre with a minor in Marketing, and is delighted to spend his summer in Lancaster. Carter Rutkowski
Carter Rutkowski (Ensemble/Uncle Henry/Gatekeeper US) is thrilled to return to the Dutch Apple stage in this production of The Wizard of Oz! His previous Dutch Apple credits include White Christmas, Hairspray, Footloose, and The Little Mermaid. Carter also appeared last season in the musical 9 to 5 at the Fulton Theatre. Maddie Swick (Ensemble) is thrilled to be back at Dutch Apple this summer! Previously, she appeared on the Dutch Apple stage in The Little Mermaid as a Mersister/Ensemble. She will be entering her senior year at Western Michigan University to earn her BFA in Musical Theatre. Her most recent credits include Margot/Elle Woods US in Legally Blonde and Featured Dancer in On the Town at WMU. Additionally, she played Mae in The Wild Party with Exit Left Theatre Company. Gabrielle Villarreal (Ensemble) is Mexican-American performing artist, a proud member of the Miranda Family Fellowship, and recent graduate of Molloy University/CAP21 BFA Musical Theatre. She has recently been seen working on In The Heights (Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival) A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Carrie, Rent, As You Like It, In The Heights, Elf, A Dream is A Wish Concert (Madison Theater) and has been a part of multiple new works at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center, Theatre Row, Trinity Rep/ RILA, The Bowery Electric, and The Green Room 42. Natalie Chan
Natalie Chan (Ensemble) is very excited to be returning to the Dutch Apple stage in this production of The Wizard of Oz! Most recently, Natalie was the female swing for We Will Rock You the Queen Musical. Last holiday season, she was Rita in White Christmas at Dutch Apple. Delaney Bigley (Ensemble/Aunt Em & Glinda US) is thrilled to be returning to the Dutch Apple stage, having previously performed as Arista/Ensemble in The Little Mermaid exactly 3 years ago. Some professional credits include The Sound of Music and 9 to 5 at the Fulton Theatre, The Wedding Singer and Oliver! at Great Plains Theatre, and The Three Little Pigs at Gretna Theatre. Most recently, Delaney completed a 7 month cruise contract as a Lead Vocalist on the Regent Seven Seas Mariner. She is grateful to be home with her loved ones and performing in Lancaster again. Theo (Toto) At just 2 years old, Theo is a 5 pound Yorkshire Terrier with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. Making his theatrical debut as Toto in the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre’s The Wizard of Oz, Theo hopes to charm the audience and put a smile on everyone’s face. When not on stage, Theo enjoys going for walks, taking long naps and playing with his mommy. Theo is truly honored and excited to join Dorothy on this magical journey and hopes you enjoy the show as much as he enjoys the attention!
Hendrix
Hendrix (Toto) is a 2 year old poodle mix who is making his acting debut here at the Dutch Apple in The Wizard of Oz! He has been training for two years now, with hopes to get into canine freestyle. Friends and family kept saying he needed to audition. Hendrix is very excited to show what he has been working on, and is very grateful to have been chosen to play the role of Dorothy's beloved Toto.
Paxil
Paxil (Toto) is a 6 year old Boston Terrier from York, PA. he is a extraordinary dog with a long list of achievements! Paxil made breed history by the first Boston Terrier to earn an AKC disc dog (frisbee) title! He is currently the highest titled disc Boston Terrier as well. Paxil actively competes in many sport but his favorites are disc, flyball, dock diving, and fast cat. He has also starred in multiple national commercial shoots. Paxil knows no limits and loves to show the world what all he is capable of!
