Prather Productions is a company consisting of two professional year-round dinner theatres and a national tour company. The dinner theatres feature Broadway-style musicals and comedies combined with a dinner buffet. Children’s Theatre and concerts are also featured throughout the season.
Prather Productions’ national tour division tours one non-Equity musical tour each year.
Dutch Apple located in the heart of the Pennsylvania Dutch Country, Lancaster, Pennsylvania and only three hours from New York City with accessibility by train or car and one hour to Baltimore.
Broadway Palm in Ft Myers, Florida is near Fort Myers Beach and beautiful Sanibel Island. For water sports enthusiasts or Sun Gods, it’s a paradise.
Our actors are all professionals, most of them having college degrees in Theatre Performance, Musical Theatre, Dance and other Performing Arts categories and are selected at national auditions each year.
- Rehearsals begin 14 days prior to the Opening Date.
- 8-10 Performances per week.
- Multiple show contracts available with the same or different theatres. When national tours are scheduled for our productions, a tour contract will be issued.
- Contract includes housing, meal on show days, health club membership and transportation.
Main Stage Productions
If you are an adult performer 8 – 10 shows per week.
- Evening performances are Tue – Sat, (6:55pm call time) 7:30pm performance
- Twilight performances are Sunday, (6:25pm call time) 7:00pm performance
- Matinee performances generally occur on Tue, Wed, Thurs, Sat, and Sun. (12:40pm call time) 1:15pm performance
If you are a youth performer we double cast our youth roles in the Main Stage shows to help alleviate the demand of a full show schedule. Actors will perform in 4 – 5 shows per week, which will include matinee performances. There will be a few days that will require you to be dismissed from school early for the rehearsals and the performances (If cast we will provide you with the school clearance papers that are required).
Children’s Theatre Productions
Roles are usually not double cast for this series. Actors will perform in 2 – 5 shows a week.
- Morning performances are Tue – Fri (10:55am call time) 11:30am performance
- Matinee performances are Tue – Sun (12:10pm call time) 12:45pm performance
- Evening performances are (5:55pm call time) 6:30pm performance
Seeking youth males ages 7 – 14 for the production of Finding Neverland. Should be under 5’1”.
Auditions will take place on Saturday, June 8th starting at 9am. Located at Prather Productions 21 Prestige Lane, Lancaster Pa

If your child is able to play the ukulele, please have them prepared to do so. Please note the below age descriptions for each character are guidelines and can be adjusted if seen fit for casting.
Youth Finding Neverland Role Descriptions:
GEORGE] – Principal, Male, to play 12-14 years old. Any ethnicity. He is the oldest of the Davies boys. George is most sensible and mature though still able to play and have fun. Takes charge when he needs to. Must be a very strong mover and have an unchanged pop/rock voice. To play one or more of the Llewelyn Davies Boys. Should play Ukulele!
[JACK] – Principal, Male, to play 10-12 years old. Any ethnicity. He is the second oldest of the boys, He is the naughtiest and most outlandish, but even his cheek comes from a good heart. Must have strong movement skills and an unchanged pop/rock voice. To play one or more of the Llewelyn Davies Boys.
[PETER] – Principal, Male, to play 8-10 years old. Any ethnicity. He is the second youngest of the boys. Peter is buried under the grief of losing his father. Thoughtful and considered, initially angry and contained, he goes on a journey from ‘not believing’ to opening up and embracing the world of magic and play that Barrie presents to him. Must move very well and have an unchanged pop/rock voice. To play one or more of the Llewelyn Davies Boys.
[MICHAEL] – Principal, Male, to play 6-8 years old. Any ethnicity. He is the youngest of the boys, is also possibly the loudest and most confident in his actions and his statements. Unknowingly funny. Must have an unchanged pop/rock voice. To play one or more of the Llewelyn Davies Boys.
