Little Shop of Horrors

Based on the 1960s film, this rock musical follows a hapless florist shop worker who stumbles across a new breed of plant he names “Audrey II” after his coworker crush. The foul-mouthed, R&B singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune—but at what price? PG13*

VICTOR LEGARRETA (Director)
Victor has directed numerous productions at Dutch Apple. Most recently he directed Fiddler on the Roof, The Sound of Music, and The Full Monty. He’s been a professional director for over 30 years and has directed, written and performed in over 150 productions. Select Dutch Apple credits: Disney’s Newsies (Pulitzer), Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express (Hercule Poirot), Rock of Ages (Dennis), Annie (Daddy Warbucks). 2017/2018 National Tour: The Wizard of Oz (Lion). JELANI BELL (Choreographer) Jelani is thrilled to be returning to Dutch Apple this season! He was most recently seen on the Dutch Apple stage in Irving Berlin’s White Christmas. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Performance from Greensboro College in North Carolina. His favorite credits include West Side Story, Singin’ in the Rain, and Beautiful The Carole King Musical. Last fall, he served as Associate Director/Choreographer to Amy McCleary during the production of Hairspray at Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre. He thanks his mother and father for their love and support. He dedicates this performance to Perry.

(Seymour Krelborn) is thrilled to return to Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre, where he most recently played Ogie in Waitress! Originally from the Adirondacks, Ross is a NYC-based actor, singer, storyteller, and proud Wagner College alum. (Audrey) is thrilled to be returning to Dutch Apple after performing in A Chorus Line (Cassie), and The Addams Family (Morticia). She is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Brenau University, and is based in NYC. (Mr. Mushnik) was previously at the Dutch Apple in Fiddler on the Roof (Rabbi), Hairspray (Wilbur Turnblad) and Guys and Dolls (Arvide). Other roles: Gus, the theatre cat in CATS and Herr Shultz in Cabaret. Jim is the founding artistic director at Susquehanna Stage in Marietta, PA., where he has directed/produced 60+ plays and musicals. Currently, his best role is playing "Pops" to his grandchildren, Nolan, Parker, and Juliet.  Thanks to Lauren, Victor, Scott and Jelani.

(Chiffon) is a South Carolina native actress, performer and creator. She recently graduated with a master degree in Musical Theater with a concentration in voice at New York University. (Audrey II Puppeteer/voice of Audrey II US) is happy to hop on for this production of Little Shop! Graduated from Kent State University for Theatre Performance and a minor in Radio and Film, he works as an on-stage performer in multiple musicals and operas, in the booth for voiceover and radio, and as a stunt performer. A singer, musician, and athlete, Collin enjoys learning new skills and putting his old ones to the test. His favorite roles he's done so far are as a stunt climber in Moby Dick at The Metropolitan Opera and as Caiaphas in Jesus Christ Superstar at Porthouse Theatre.

Little Shop was the first musical Ashley did back when she was in high school, and she is elated that she gets the opportunity to perform in it again, 14 years later! Ashley was just recently in The Nutcracker Musical with the Fulton Theatre in their Family Series. His most recent Dutch Apple include A Chorus Line and Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn. He spent this past summer at Cortland Repertory Theatre performing in Hello, Dolly! and Disney's The Little Mermaid.
