Broadway Bound Summer Camps
Broadway Bound! camps provide young actors the opportunity to participate in a theatrical experience which will develop confidence, responsibility, and teamwork. Participants in our classes build self-esteem as they refine their creativity, active listening, and concentration skills, all while learning about musical theatre.
Broadway Bound teaching artists are theatre professionals teaching under the leadership of Lauren Sobon, Dutch Apple’s Resident Artistic Director. Professional performers Katelyn Candiello and Alyssa Crook serve as camp administrators and counselors.

Our Camp Sessions
Pre-Beginner (Ages 5-7)
In this mini-camp, preschoolers will participate in basic theatre techniques and work on creating a production out of some well-loved children’s stories.
Beginner Sessions (Ages 8-11)
This session is for those who have always wanted to act but have not gotten the chance or who have limited performance experience. This class will introduce you to the tools an actor needs in order to perform on the stage. Students will spend the week working on singing, dancing, and acting to create a fun-filled musical revue to perform at the end of the week for family and friends.
Intermediate Sessions (Ages 12 and Up)
This session has a pre-requisite of at least 2 years of our Beginner Sessions and/or performance experience in several high school, community, or professional theatre productions. A resumé must be submitted with application. Attendance in this workshop is at the discretion of the program directors. Students will work on monologues, scenes, songs, and musical numbers while digging deeper into how an actor prepares for a role. You will learn how to develop a character through physical and vocal techniques and use language to define a role. Each participant will have the opportunity to work on materials of their choices while given performance guidance. Their performances for friends and family will consist of materials covered in class to create a wonderful young performer’s cabaret.
